The building houses multiple reading rooms and specialized work areas for different research interests.
The library was founded in 1891 and has survived many upheavals and changes throughout the region over more than a century. It remained an important center for knowledge and education even during difficult historical periods.
The library serves as a gathering space for readers and learners throughout the region, where exhibitions and talks about Ukrainian writers and local figures take place regularly. Visitors come to connect with others and learn about the region's cultural identity.
The library is open on weekdays and Sundays and provides wheelchair-accessible facilities for all visitors. Allow enough time to explore the different areas and find the materials that match your research interests.
The building features specialized research zones designed to help visitors with very specific academic questions. These dedicated areas make it a place where researchers and students with particular needs go directly.
